Catalan Police Bust Major Drug Ring: 6 Moroccan Brothers Arrested in Cross-Border Operation

The Mossos de Squadra have managed to disable a criminal cocaine trafficking network operating in the Catalonia region and southern France. 15 individuals were arrested, including 6 Moroccan brothers.
The judicial investigation, opened last July, made it possible to locate the headquarters of the criminal organization in Roda de Ter. 12 kilograms of hard drugs and 15 of cannabis resin were seized during the search, in addition to a sum of 300,000 euros.
According to the police statement, six brothers of Moroccan origin coordinated the movements of the network from the small Catalan town. Their sphere of action extended to Sardinia (Italy), southern France, passing through the towns of Ossona, Bagüès, and Terra Alta.
The 6 suspects were in the habit of sourcing raw cocaine from Dominican traffickers. It was mixed with another substance, before being transported to the main distribution channels.
