Casablanca Vaccination Center Overwhelmed as Residents Ignore Appointment Times

Several candidates for vaccination presented themselves at the vaccination center located at the Al Oulfa Sports Complex in Casablanca in the Hay Hassani district without respecting the scheduled appointments. This confusing situation caused a malfunction in the programming established by the health authorities.
Several Internet users have relayed videos on social networks, reporting a massive congestion at the vaccination center set up at the Al Oulfa sports complex in Casablanca. In a statement, the local authorities of Hay Hassani explained that these citizens arrived at the vaccination centers early in the morning without respecting their appointments generally scheduled in the afternoon and exert pressure on the health services and the authorities on duty at the Center.
According to the same statement, other citizens who missed their appointments at the vaccination center are also going there without taking the necessary steps to obtain a second appointment. These unfortunate situations often lead to exceeding the number of vaccine beneficiaries scheduled daily.
Faced with this persistent situation, the local authorities of the prefecture of the Hay Hassani district in Casablanca called on Tuesday on citizens to respect the programming made by the health authorities for the smooth running of the vaccination campaign against Covid-19. They also called on the persons concerned to present themselves within the set deadlines to avoid congestion and facilitate the various stages of access to the vaccine, in compliance with preventive and precautionary measures.
They remain mobilized to organize and create the right conditions so that all citizens can benefit from the vaccine progressively.
