Morocco Launches COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments for Priority Groups

The launch of the vaccination campaign against Coronavirus will be given next Friday. In an effort to organize, the Ministry of Health has set up an appointment system.
Nearly 25 million Moroccans will receive the new Covid-19 vaccine, starting Friday. Initially, it will be health professionals over 40, public authorities, the Royal Armed Forces and people over 75 years old.
To simplify the booking process, the Ministry of Health has invited eligible people to communicate their ID number or residence permit number for foreign residents by SMS to the number 1717 or on the online platform liqahcorona.ma. The date and place of vaccination will be communicated by return SMS.
People who do not have an ID card or residence permit are invited to register with the local authorities in their place of residence, the statement said. In addition, the platform allows users to inquire about the procedures, contact doctors in case of side effects, and obtain their vaccination certificate.
