Casablanca Police Arrest Three, Including Minors, for Illegal Explosives Linked to Sports Team

The elements of the judicial police of Casablanca have arrested three individuals. They are suspected of possessing explosives that could be used to manufacture smoke bombs and homemade fireworks. An investigation has been opened.
The case began with a fire that broke out in an uninhabited apartment located in "Al Azhar", in the Sidi Bernoussi neighborhood of Casablanca, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), adding that the finding of the causes of the incident led to the discovery on the premises of a quantity of explosives belonging to three individuals, including two minors, affiliated with a faction of supporters of a Casablanca sports team.
A search of one of their homes led to the seizure of a plastic bag containing quantities of potassium nitrate, bleach, a small gas cylinder, 67 packets filled with explosives, as well as 33 empty packets that could be used in the manufacture and packaging of smoke bombs and homemade fireworks, the same source added.
Pending the full details of this case, the three suspects, who were apprehended in a clinic where they had gone to receive the necessary care following unintentional burns, have been placed under medical supervision, the DGSN specifies.
