Casablanca Police Arrest Man for Public Domestic Violence After Video Surfaces

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) provided a press release published on Twitter to provide details on this regrettable scene. According to them, the investigations revealed that this video had been the subject of legal proceedings initiated by the police services in the Aïn Sebaa Hay Mouhammadi region.

According to the initial elements of the investigation, it is a dispute in a couple who were in an advanced state of intoxication. In reality, the facts, which date back to July 18, 2019, show in the video the husband harassing his wife before physically assaulting her in the middle of the street.

The DGSN press release indicates that the couple was held in custody as part of the judicial investigation conducted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office. They will then be brought to justice due to their state of intoxication on the public highway.

For its part, the Public Prosecutor’s Office decided to prosecute the husband for physical violence against his wife, adds the same source.
