Casablanca Police Arrest 8 in COVID Vaccine Pass Fraud Scheme

The judicial police of Casablanca arrested, on Wednesday, an authority agent and seven of his accomplices, for their alleged involvement in a case of falsification and trafficking of Covid-19 tests and medical certificates.
According to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the main suspect was arrested along with seven intermediaries, suspected of being linked to these activities.
The modus operandi of the accused consists in introducing false information into the vaccination database in order to obtain false passes for unvaccinated people, in exchange for amounts set according to the number of doses registered on the false documents, indicates the first elements of the investigation, specifying that the other defendants would have been accomplices to these actions.
All the accused have been taken into custody as part of the in-depth investigation conducted under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the ramifications of this network operating in the health sector, concluded the DGSN.
