Nurse and Accomplices Arrested in Morocco for COVID-19 Test Fraud Scheme

The judicial police of Oujda arrested on Tuesday a nurse and three of her accomplices, suspected in a case of falsification and trafficking of Covid-19 tests and medical certificates.
Aged 24 and working in a clinic in Oujda, the suspect falsified and issued negative tests without the persons concerned being subjected to the screening test.
In return, she demanded sums of money ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 dirhams, said the Directorate General of National Security.
Three other alleged accomplices who play the role of intermediary in this traffic of health passes were then arrested by the police.
According to the DGSN, all the accused have been placed in custody as part of the in-depth investigation conducted under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the ramifications of this network operating in the health sector.
