Casablanca Funeral Draws Large Crowd, Sparking Outrage Over Lockdown Violations
The state of health emergency did not prevent about a hundred people from attending a funeral prayer, last Tuesday, in the Ain Chock district of Casablanca.
The funeral of a young man saw the participation of about a hundred neighbors, who came to pay their last respects before the coffin of the deceased.
This incredible scene provoked virulent reactions on social networks, where several Internet users questioned the reasons behind the laxity of citizens, and especially that of the public authorities.
For the community activist, Abdelali Errami, who deplores the massive violation of confinement, "it is distressing and pathetic to still see this kind of scene in a city like Casablanca."
