Father of Slain Moroccan Student in Amiens Seeks Support, Questions French Justice System

Lacking support, the father of Salma, the young Moroccan student murdered on April 3 in Amiens, has sought the support of human rights associations in France in anticipation of the trial of the alleged murderer of his daughter.
Unable to closely follow the case, the father feels abandoned, especially since the state of health emergency prevents him from repatriating his daughter’s remains. However, he was able to attend the funeral ceremony live.
Devastated by the loss of his daughter, and not trusting the French justice system, the man from Marrakech seems impatient to know the outcome of this tragedy. He says he fears a biased judgment at the end of the trial, he confided to the media.
The funeral of the young student took place in Amiens, in a Muslim cemetery, in the presence of several witnesses including Moroccan benefactors and human rights activists, the father said during his meeting with the press.
