Casablanca Burglary Ring Busted: $900,000 in Safe Deposit Box Thefts
Three individuals suspected of having looted safe deposit boxes in Casablanca were arrested on Wednesday. This is the result of an operation carried out by the National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ).
These individuals aged 35 to 52 would have committed two burglaries in a firm and a luxury apartment in the hospital district of Casablanca where they looted safe deposit boxes, reports Assabah. The loot from the thefts is estimated at 9 million dirhams. Their modus operandi consists of spotting places, wearing specific outfits before operating.
During the searches carried out at the homes of the accused, the investigators proceeded to seize a large part of the loot, a car, metal jewelry bought with the stolen money, clothes and personal equipment used during the thefts, specifies the same source.
Pending the resolution of this case, the three suspects have been taken into custody.
