Suspect Arrested in Tangier After $20,000 Store Heist, Police Recover Stolen Cash and Phone Cards

An individual was arrested on Monday a few hours after robbing a business in the Aida Village residential complex in Tangier. The stolen loot is estimated at 140,000 dirhams in addition to phone recharge cards.
The 21-year-old man managed to break into the store in the early hours of the morning. He is said to have stolen a total of 200,000 dirhams, including 60,000 dirhams in phone recharge cards.
According to Alyaoum24, the robber, identified thanks to the surveillance cameras of the commercial premises, was tracked down by the police before being apprehended, a few hours later, in a spa in the city.
The loot was recovered and the man was taken into custody and made available to the investigation conducted under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
