Casablanca Begins Construction on $17 Million Traffic-Easing Bridge

Casa Transport announced the launch of the construction work of a grade-separated bridge on Boulevard Mohammed VI. The structure should be operational as early as the summer of 2022.
With a total cost of 171 million dirhams, this structure will significantly reduce the length of queues and consequently the crossing times at the intersections on Al Qods, Driss El Harti, Dakhla and Amgala Boulevards, according to a press release from Casa Transport.
In addition to the transit function provided by the bridge, the section located between Al Qods and Driss El Harti Boulevards will constitute the largest exchange hub in the TCSP network (T3-Tramway and BW1-Busway) and will be close to the stops of the grand taxis and buses, the note specifies, adding that the tramway station, in an axial position, will be laid out under the structure, while that of the busway will adjoin, laterally, the Al Housna mosque.
