Casablanca Airport Operations Normal Despite Baggage Handlers’ Strike Attempt

The call for a strike, launched on Tuesday, October 1 by a union representing some of the baggage handlers of the operator GPI, did not meet with the expected success. It therefore had no impact on the activity of the Airport, according to a press release from the National Airports Office (ONDA).
This conflict, which has now been going on for a few months, has long affected and disrupted the Casablanca Airport, especially during the summer holidays.
However, a positive solution had been found thanks to the action of a multi-party commission that had reviewed all the causes of these disturbances, which were largely detrimental to travelers.
According to ONDA, the service for sorting, loading, unloading and delivering baggage went smoothly on the morning of Tuesday, October 1, thanks to close collaboration between its services, RAM Handling, Royal Air Maroc and the authorities.
