CAF Selects Eight Moroccan Referees for 2022 Africa Cup of Nations

The African Football Confederation (CAF) unveiled, on Wednesday, the list of referees who will officiate the matches of the final phase of AFCON 2022, scheduled for next January. Eight Moroccan referees are part of it.
Thus, the Atlas Lions will not be the only representatives of the Moroccan flag in Cameroon, says the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), according to which the African body has chosen 8 Moroccan referees and assistant referees in the competition’s refereeing corps.
They are:
• Redouane Jiyed (main referee and VAR assistant referee)
• Adel Zourak (VAR assistant referee)
• Samir Guezaz (VAR assistant referee)
• Bouchra Kerboubi (VAR assistant referee)
• Lahden Azgaou (assistant referee and VAR assistant referee)
• El Mostapha Akardad (assistant referee and VAR assistant referee)
• Zakaria Brinssi (assistant referee and VAR assistant referee)
• Fatiha Jermoumi (assistant referee and VAR assistant referee).
