Morocco and Algeria Set for High-Stakes Clash in Arab Cup Quarter-Final

Morocco faces Algeria this Saturday at 8 pm in the quarter-finals of the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup taking place in Qatar. Houcine Ammouta’s men are determined to win the match.
Just a few hours before the start of the Maghreb derby of this Arab Cup. Morocco will face Algeria this Saturday, on the pitch of the Al Thamama stadium in Doha, starting at 8 pm. Supported by their coach, Houcine Ammouta, the Atlas Lions have been preparing for several days for this decisive match.
The Moroccan players have a slight advantage because they had a less grueling third group stage match than the Algerian Fennecs who had to sweat until the last minute against Egypt, reports Al Massae. The Atlas Lions, with the exception of Ayoub El Amloud who is still injured, were in training on Thursday and Friday, away from the cameras, to prepare the match of this evening in all serenity.
The president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaâ, after visiting the players during a training session, assured that they were ready for the match.
The appointment of the Brazilian referee by FIFA to officiate this match has interested the newspaper Al Akhbar which revealed his identity. His name is Wilton Sampao and he will be assisted by two other compatriots as linesmen: Simon Danilo and Perez Bruno. The video refereeing chief, on the other hand, is Japanese.
