Arab Cup: Algeria to Face Morocco in Quarterfinal Showdown After Egypt Draw

Algeria will face Morocco in the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup, after their shock match with Egypt in Doha on Tuesday, December 7. The Algerian team finished second in Group D and consequently will not be able to avoid the Moroccan team.
The Morocco-Algeria clash will indeed take place. Things did not go as the Algerian team had hoped. The latter and the Egyptian team neutralized each other (1-1) on the occasion of the third day match of the first round of the Arab Cup of Nations. The Greens received more cards than their Egyptian opponents, and finished second in Group D when they were coveting the first place to avoid crossing swords with Morocco in the quarter-finals.
The two quarter-final matches of the Arab Cup scheduled for December 10 and 11 are now known: Algeria will face Morocco, the winner of Group C, and Egypt will face Jordan.
