Morocco Secures Quarter-Final Spot in Arab Cup with Dominant Performances

The Atlas Lions are officially qualified for the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup of Nations, after their crushing victory over Jordan (4-0) on Saturday and the draw between Palestine and Saudi Arabia.
Morocco no longer has any worries. It has already validated its ticket for the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup of Nations with two crushing victories against Palestine (4-0) and Jordan (4-0). The draw between Palestine and Saudi Arabia further confirms this qualification of the Atlas Lions who will face Saudi Arabia for the 3rd day, just to earn points for the FIFA ranking of December.

Morocco should meet Egypt or Algeria in the quarter-finals. The two teams share the lead in their group with 6 points each and the same goal difference (+6). The victory of one of them will qualify them for the quarter-finals where they will face Morocco.

Algeria is already penalized 3 points (2 cautions resulting in an expulsion against Lebanon). The same goes for Egypt with 3 penalty points (2 cautions against Lebanon and one caution against Sudan). Obviously, the two teams will be very cautious in their play to avoid losing, but above all to avoid cards.
