New Bypass Road Opens in Béni Mellal, Morocco to Boost Regional Economy

The bypass road of the city of Béni Mellal, which is part of the strategic road axes of the Béni Mellal-Khenifra region, was inaugurated last Thursday. It aims to facilitate economic activities in the region.
With a length of 13.5 km, the realization of this road required a financing of 150 million dirhams (MDH), including 70 MDH for the acquisition of the land and 80 MDH for the construction work.
This new road axis should help decongest traffic and improve road safety indicators within the city of Béni Mellal, particularly at the level of the main avenues that form an extension of national road No. 8, said the provincial director of Equipment, during the inauguration ceremony.
He added that this road will help facilitate the transport of goods and reduce travel time, especially for investors and economic actors, as it directly serves the major structuring projects of the city such as the Béni Mellal airport, the Béni Mellal-Casablanca highway, the Agropole or the logistics zone.
