New Bus Service Links Tangier Airport to City Center, Enhancing Travel Options

Travelers will be able to enjoy a direct bus connection between the Ibn Battouta airport and the Tangier train station starting June 5. This initiative aims to streamline travel and offer a comfortable alternative to taxis.
Specifically, brand new air-conditioned buses, equipped with free wifi and access for people with reduced mobility, will provide the connection every hour, for a fixed fare of 40 dirhams.
A departure is planned from the airport every hour, with five intermediate stops: Al Hassani Complex, Riyad Ahlan, Ben Dibane, Moulay Ismail Avenue and Nejma roundabout.
This new line is part of the local authorities’ desire to improve the urban transport offer in Tangier, but also to respond to numerous criticisms about the taxi drivers’ grip on the route between the airport and the city center of Tangier. Some of them demand more than 300 dirhams for a single trip!
