Brothers Arrested for Assaulting Imam and Burning Qurans in Moroccan Mosque

Two brothers were arrested in Safi by the Royal Gendarmerie for attacking an imam and reducing copies of the Quran to ashes.
These two individuals from the same family "attacked the sacred," reports the Barlamane website.
After assaulting the imam of the "Salam" mosque, located in the Douar d’Ouled Moussa in Safi, they went further by burning copies of the Quran as well as a prayer rug placed right in front of the mosque, reports the same site.
Arrested by the Royal Gendarmerie, the two men were taken into custody pending their appearance before the courts.
