Mentally Disturbed Man Arrested for Attacking Muezzin in Rabat Mosque

A man showing signs of mental disturbance was arrested on Friday evening for serious assault with an iron bar against a Muezzin. According to the judicial police of Rabat, who carried out his arrest, he would have attacked the Muezzin without valid reason.
According to the MAP, which reported the information, it was just after the Al-ichae prayer that the suspect attacked the Muezzin without any motive, using an iron bar that he had picked up near the scene of the assault.
In a statement providing information on the facts, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) specifies that the person concerned has been placed in custody, pending a medical examination to verify his psychological and mental state.
