Taxi Driver Murders Colleague in Rabat, Dumps Body in Ravine

The prefectural judicial police service of Rabat has opened an investigation following the assault of a taxi driver by his colleague.
The accused, a petit taxi driver, physically assaulted his colleague with a bladed weapon, thus causing his death. To cover up the crime, he got rid of his victim and his vehicle in a ravine near the Bouregreg river, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
An investigation was opened this Friday, December 6th. It aims to determine the motivations that led the petit taxi driver to murder one of his colleagues with a bladed weapon.
According to the observations made on site and the first elements of the investigation, the security services are continuing the search and investigation operations in the perimeter where the car, heavily damaged due to the height of the ravine, was abandoned.
The investigation made it possible to locate the suspect, already identified, in order to elucidate the circumstances and motivations of this criminal act, the same statement said.
