The Guardia Civil found, on Sunday, January 10, 2021, the body of a young Moroccan migrant on the Chorrillo beach in Ceuta. He was wearing a diving suit.
The papers found on the body allowed the local authorities to know the name of the deceased person, reports El Faro de Ceuta. His name is Mohammed. He is 27 years old and is from Marrakech. The local authorities have contacted his family.
According to the deceased’s relatives, the young man had been staying in Fnideq for 3 months, and had repeatedly tried to reach Ceuta. "Mohammed spoke English, German and French," his friends said, stating that they did not see him in the afternoon of Saturday, January 9, 2021 because he and several young people were planning "another crossing" to Ceuta.
In search of a better life, Mohammed had left his family and hometown several months ago.
