Body of Moroccan Migrant Found on Spanish Enclave Beach in Ceuta

The Civil Guard discovered on Monday the body of a Moroccan migrant, in an advanced state of decomposition. The body had already spent several days in the water, and was probably drained by the sea current, before washing up near the coast of Ceuta.
The lifeless body of the Moroccan was discovered on Monday, in the waters of the southern bay of the city, by a fisherman who immediately alerted the Civil Guard, according to EFE. The agents of the Special Group for Underwater Activities (GEAS) went to the indicated location, not far from the Sarchal beach. The Moroccan would have died some time ago, given the advanced state of decomposition of the body.

According to the first hypotheses, it could be a migrant who drowned while trying to reach the city, before his floating body was carried away by the sea current to the place where it was found. The victim was not wearing a wetsuit, which suggests that he was traveling on a boat that probably sank.
