Belgian Terror Suspect Arrested Following Moroccan Intelligence Tip

New feat of the Moroccan intelligence services. A Belgian citizen of Moroccan origin suspected of preparing attacks, was arrested thanks to the collaboration of the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
In a statement, the Moroccan authorities claim that the Belgian services managed to apprehend this individual as part of cases of terrorism and violent extremism.
This arrest follows the arrest on March 2 in the Tata region of a Moroccan suspected of preparing a "cross-border terrorist plan.
The investigators detected a transfer in euros that would have been made from Belgium to the benefit of the man arrested in Tata, explains the same source, according to which this money was used as an advance for "the acquisition of compounds and chemicals used in the preparation of explosives".
It also emerges from the investigations that the individual arrested in Tata had the objective of attacking senior officials, as well as military and security sites and penitentiary establishments using a booby-trapped car.
