Beachgoers Face Inflated Parking Fees at Popular Moroccan Coastal Spots

Car guards are practicing exorbitant prices on the beaches of Casablanca and Mohammedia, flouting those contained in their specifications. Many vacationers are victims of fraud.
The municipal councils have drawn up a specifications document setting the guarding prices at 5 dirhams per day and 10 dirhams per night. However, the car guards do not apply this pricing. They impose a double tariff on motorists. Only the parking lot managers apply the current tariff.
This is the observation made by Al Massae on the beaches of Bouznika. Vacationers who do not have enough means are forced to go to areas where affordable prices are applied.
Faced with the situation, they call for the firm intervention of the authorities.
