Barcelona Signs 13-Year-Old Moroccan Prodigy Mayssa Baha from Málaga

FC Barcelona has officially announced the transfer of Mayssa Baha, one of the most promising young talents from Málaga CF. This young footballer, only 13 years old, is about to embark on a new adventure with one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.
Daughter of former Moroccan international Nabil Baha, Mayssa Baha quickly made a name for herself thanks to her technical qualities. Arrived at the club last year, she has climbed the ranks with flying colors, particularly standing out with the Málaga women’s team.
Her precocity even earned her a first call-up with the Moroccan under-17 national team last October, at the age of only 12. An exceptional talent that has attracted the attention of FC Barcelona’s recruiters, who did not hesitate to make Mayssa Baha their new recruit.
In a letter shared on her Instagram account, Mayssa Baha expressed her gratitude to the Málaga club for welcoming and supporting her in her beginnings. "This is not a definitive goodbye, but a farewell," she wrote. "Today, I want to share with you a difficult decision: it is time to say goodbye to Málaga CF Femenino, which has been my home for this past year, to join FC Barcelona Femenino."
The young footballer also took the time to thank her coaches, teammates and the club’s staff for their support and the moments they shared. "I leave with new friendships and indelible memories," she added.
