12-Year-Old Moroccan Phenom Dazzles at Barcelona’s La Masia Academy

Adam Qaroual, 12 years old, is considered one of the promises of world football. The very young talent of Moroccan origin who plays at La Masia, the academy of FC Barcelona, amazes with his technical performances, to the point of being compared to the legend Diego Maradona.
The Moroccan prodigy delivered a remarkable performance on Saturday with the Barça under-13 team against Escola F in the Infantil Division of Honor. Very technical and a dribbler, the young attacking midfielder managed to get past a defender before providing a decisive pass to Mohamed Akhomach, the young brother of Ilias, the Moroccan international from Villarreal.
The video of this sequence, shared on social networks, has become viral. The young player whose idol is Lamine Yamal, arouses the admiration of Internet users. Adam Qaroual joined Barça’s U13s last season only. But he quickly established himself with his talent, becoming one of the key players of the team. His coaches at La Masia consider him a "different" player.
Born in Mönchengladbach, Germany to Moroccan parents and now residing in Barcelona, Adam Qaroual has the possibility to play for Morocco, Germany or Spain. The federations of the three countries will undoubtedly soon engage in a "war" to recruit the young attacking midfielder who has played at Lürrip, Dortmund and PSV Eindhoven, before joining Barcelona in 2023.
