Barcelona Renews Interest in Fiorentina’s Amrabat as Transfer Window Nears Close

Courted by FC Barcelona, the transfer of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat - whose contract expires next season - to the Camp Nou is struggling to materialize. The Italian club is demanding 30 million euros to let the Moroccan international go.
Will Sofyan Amrabat’s wish to join the Camp Nou come true? After giving up on recruiting the Moroccan international due to the sum of 30 million euros that Fiorentina is demanding for its midfielder, Barça is coming back to the charge. Its sporting director, Mateu Alemany, has remained in contact with the entourage of the 26-year-old player, reports SPORT. The Catalan club could make an offer for the Moroccan international if his value drops in the final phase of the transfer window.
According to Amrabat’s entourage, Fiorentina could lower the amount demanded for the transfer of the Moroccan player, as he has no more than a year left with the Italian club. The latter could be forced to settle for a reduced price.

The possible departure of Ivorian international Franck Kessie could also facilitate Sofyan’s arrival at FC Barcelona. In addition to the Catalan club, Bayern Munich and Manchester United are also showing interest in the Atlas Lion.
