Barcelona’s Ezzalzouli Eyes First-Team Chance as Dembélé Nears PSG Move

Abdessamad Ezzalzouli could remain at Barça next season if Ousmane Dembélé’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) were to materialize. A golden opportunity for the Moroccan.
After a year on loan at Osasuna where he particularly shone (6 goals and 2 assists in 34 games), Abde Ezzalzouli has returned to Barça with doubts about his future, aware of the difficulty of getting playing time next season. The young Moroccan striker has indeed been called up by Xavi Hernandez for pre-season, but the coach has a preference for Ousmane Dembélé who should join PSG.
If the latter’s departure is confirmed, Barça would be forced to fill this void and could give Abde Ezzalzouli a chance to prove that he deserves his place in the team, comments Sport.es. The 21-year-old Moroccan international, who has just won the U23 Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco, could therefore have more playing time to demonstrate his exceptional qualities and talent.
Ousmane Dembélé’s departure could also benefit Lamine Yamal, the 16-year-old Moroccan right winger playing in Barça’s academy, who made history as the club’s youngest player to play for the first team. The young player could find his place alongside Ansu, Raphinha, Ferran Torres.
