Barcelona and Dembélé’s Agent Meet in Morocco to Discuss Contract Renewal

The fate of Ousmane Dembélé is being decided in Morocco. The player’s agent and the sporting director of his club, FC Barcelona, had a meeting in the kingdom on Monday to try to reach an agreement to renew his contract.
Ousmane Dembélé has regained the hearts of FC Barcelona fans who applauded him on Sunday during the match won at the Camp Nou against FC Seville. These applause have no doubt led the Spanish club’s management to consider renewing the contract of the French international, reports El Diario.

With this in mind, Ousmane Dembélé’s agent met with Mateu Alemany in Morocco on Monday. "I see him very happy, very involved. He is different," said Barça coach Xavi Hernandez before the match against Seville on Sunday.
The Spanish club has clearly stated that it does not intend to raise the amount of the player’s contract as part of a possible renewal. Ousmane Dembélé’s contract with Barça expires next June and he could continue with the Spanish club next season if the negotiations are successful.
