Bahraini Journalist Falls Victim to $520,000 Sextortion Scheme by Moroccan Woman

Victim of sextortion, a Bahraini journalist has lived a real hell since last October, following his encounter with a young Moroccan woman.
The case dates back to last October, when a 22-year-old woman of Moroccan origin had threatened her one-night lover, a famous journalist in Bahrain, to publish the compromising photos, if he refused to pay her the sum of 1.9 million Emirati dirhams (520,500 dollars).
The episodes of harassment, which became pressing and unbearable for the 39-year-old journalist, he decided to take the matter to court; especially since his mistress had declared that she had a video of the night spent in the hotel room. His notoriety risked taking a hard blow, in case the scandal was released.
Prosecuted for blackmail, sextortion, taking obscene photos and prostitution, the Moroccan national was sentenced to 6 months in prison and expulsion from the country.
