Badr Hari Returns to Face McSweeney in Glory 88 Kickboxing Showdown
Moroccan champion Badr Hari is preparing his fight against British kickboxer James McSweeney, which will take place on September 9 in Paris.
Badr Hari (106-17-2-92KO), 38, will face Briton James McSweeney (46-6,28 KO) 42, in the main event at the Dôme in Paris in September as part of Glory 88. The winner will qualify for the prestigious Glory Grand Prix, an eight-man tournament that will take place in December. The winner of this tournament will walk away with $500,000.
The Moroccan champion’s last fight, who had in the meantime announced his retirement, dates back to October 2022. He had been defeated by Alistar Overeem, but the result of this fight was later canceled. Glory officials revealed that Overeem had tested positive for a banned substance. His challenger, James McSweeney, for his part, defeated the Muay Thai world and European champion, Buğra Erdoğan, last December. Can Badr Hari, who is thirsty for victory, get rid of the Briton, who is entering this fight with confidence?
