Badr Hari to Face Estonian Challenger in Glory 89 Heavyweight Bout

Affected by the devastating earthquake that mourned Morocco, Moroccan kickboxing champion Badr Hari, who was supposed to face Briton James McSweeney on September 9 in Paris, had given up his fight. He has a new opponent and will soon have to get back in the ring.
Badr Hari is back in the fight. On October 7 in Bourgas, Bulgaria, he will challenge Estonian Uku Jürjendal as part of Glory 89, as British James McSweeney was not available on that date, reports the Dutch media De Telegraaf. The Moroccan champion will try to qualify for the prestigious Glory Heavyweight Grand Prix, an eight-man tournament that will take place in December. The winner will walk away with $500,000.
Badr was supposed to cross paths with Briton James McSweeney, in the main event, at the Dôme de Paris-Palais des Sports on Saturday, September 9, as part of the Glory88/LSFC 2 fight series, but once in the ring, he gave up the fight. He was clearly moved by the powerful earthquake that struck Morocco the day before. "People are fighting to find the bodies in Morocco, I’m not going to fight to entertain," said the Moroccan kickboxing legend.
