Badr Hari vs McSweeney: the long-awaited duel

The long-awaited duel between Moroccan champion Badr Hari and British kickboxer James McSweeney is taking place tonight in Paris as part of GLORY 88 x LSFC 2.
Kickboxing legend Badr Hari (106-17-2, 92 KOs) will cross paths with Briton James McSweeney (46-6, 28 KOs) in the main event at the Dôme de Paris-Palais des Sports this Saturday, September 9. Each of them is aiming to qualify for the prestigious GLORY Heavyweight Grand Prix, an eight-man tournament that will take place in December. The winner of this tournament will walk away with $500,000.
Badr Hari’s last fight was in October 2022 against Alistar Overeem. The latter had beaten him, but the result of this fight was later canceled. GLORY officials revealed that the Dutchman had tested positive for a banned substance. His challenger, James McSweeney, faced the Muay Thai world and European champion, Buğra Erdoğan, last December and beat him.
Combat sports fans around the world can follow the Hari-McSweeney duel on the official La Sueur YouTube channel in France, on the GLORYFights.com platform, and on Videoland in the Netherlands, starting at 6:30 pm.
