Asian Tourist Faces Racist Harassment in Rabat Souk Amid Coronavirus Fears

While strolling through a souk in Rabat, an Asian tourist was subjected to racist remarks from merchants and passers-by.
The Asian tourist posted a video of this scene that she took the time to film. In this video, passers-by and/or merchants were chanting "corona, corona" in her direction.
One of them, wearing red pants in the background, tried to kick the tourist. "I’ll post you on YouTube," warned the victim. She won’t hesitate to act on it.
Since the appearance of the coronavirus in China, the country of Xi Jinping has become inaccessible. The United States and several Asian countries have closed their borders to China. Many Chinese are victims of racism and xenophobia in certain countries. This is what prompted the use of the hashtag #IAmNotAVirus.
