Armed Suspect Subdued in Témara After Threatening Citizens and Police

The speed of the security services of Témara once again made it possible to avoid a tragedy on Wednesday, October 16. An armed and unleashed criminal caused a state of panic among the residents, attacking citizens and police officers.
According to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), a 20-year-old individual, in an advanced state of intoxication, showed fierce resistance to the elements of the Emergency Police, causing general panic.
The press release adds that the criminal with a criminal record, who threatened citizens and police officers with a bladed weapon, was finally brought under control thanks to the intervention of an agent who was forced to use his service weapon.
Wounded in the shoulder, the man was taken to the hospital to receive the necessary care, pending being placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in order to elucidate the circumstances of this case, and to determine all the criminal acts for which he is accused.
