Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested in Casablanca After Police Standoff

The city of Casablanca was again the scene on Sunday morning of a tough police intervention, which had to brandish weapons to neutralize several individuals, including a woman.
The details are provided by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN). "The elements of a motorcycle brigade patrol, under the Anfa security district of Casablanca, were forced on Sunday morning to brandish their service weapons without using them to arrest four suspects, including a girl, involved in acts of theft under the threat of violence," it is stated.
It is specified that the motorcycle brigade "intervened to arrest the suspects caught in the act of stealing a mobile phone under the threat of a bladed weapon", but one of the accused "fiercely resisted and endangered the lives of the police elements with a cleaver, which forced the elements of the brigade to brandish their service weapons without using them to neutralize and arrest the suspects".
All the suspects were taken into custody for the purposes of the investigation, while the search continues to get hold of a fifth person, whose identity "has been determined", it is reported.
