Police Fire Warning Shots to Stop Knife Fight at Meknès Bus Station

A knife fight between two men near the bus station in Meknès caused great panic among the population. The police who arrived on the scene had to use gunfire to stop the individuals.

A sergeant from the urban corps of the Meknès police prefecture then drew his service weapon and fired two warning shots. This calmed the recalcitrant criminal. The two were arrested and their knives seized.
The two men have a criminal record, with a history of violent crime. They were placed in custody, with the investigation continuing under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, according to the same statement.
