Algeria Ranks 29th Globally for Cheapest Mobile Data, Outpacing Morocco
Algeria far outpaces Morocco in the top of the cheapest countries for mobile data. This is the result of the ranking of a specialized site based in England.
With an average price of 7.07 DH per GB (an average calculated from the study of 53 packages), Morocco ranks 45th out of 233 countries in the 2022 global ranking of mobile data pricing in the world by the England-based site Cable.co.uk. It is ahead of Tunisia (93rd, with an average price of 3.71 TND per GB) and (Egypt (67th, with an average price of 17.50 EGP), but far behind Algeria (29th in the world, with an average price of 70 DZD).

Israel tops the top 10 of the cheapest countries for mobile data, with an average price of 0.15 ILS per GB. It is followed by Italy (0.12 euro), San Marino (0.14 euro) and Fiji (0.33 FJD). Then come India (13.20 INR), Kyrgyzstan (13.80 KGS), France (0.23 euro) and Moldova (4.96 MDL). Uruguay (10.75 UYU) and Nepal (34.59 NPR) close the podium.

The Cable.co.uk ranking is focused on mobile data costs. It calculated the average price of a gigabyte (1 GB) and compared it from over 5,000 mobile data packages in 233 countries and territories. The countries are ranked in 5 categories based on the price in US dollars per 1 GB: from 0 to 1 USD, from 1 to 2 USD, from 2 to 5 USD, from 5 to 10 USD, from 10 to 20 USD and over 20 USD.
