Marrakech Ranks 8th in Tripadvisor’s Top 10 Global Tourist Destinations for 2023

Marrakech is in 8th place in the ranking of the 10 most popular tourist destinations in the world established by Tripadvisor on the occasion of its Travellers’ Choice Awards 2023. The ochre city wins the award ahead of the Dominican Republic. Dubai (United Arab Emirates) is designated the most popular tourist destination in the world for the second consecutive year. It is followed by Bali (Indonesia). Then come the British capital London, Rome (Italy), Paris (France), Cancun (Mexico) and Crete (Greece). The Dominican Republic and Istanbul (Turkey) complete the top 10.

To designate the winners of the 2023 Travellers’ Choice Awards, Tripadvisor took into account the quality and quantity of specific reviews and ratings in several sub-categories of traveler awards on its site for accommodations, restaurants and things to do in destinations around the world over the 12 months between November 2021 and October 2022.
