Fez, Morocco Named World’s Top Cultural Destination by Tripadvisor Travelers

The community of the American website specialized in tourism, Tripadvisor, has elected Fez as the best cultural destination in the world. "The oldest university in the world is not Oxford or the Sorbonne - it’s the University of Al-Karaouine, and you’ll find it in Fez el Bali," the platform wrote, recommending its readers to visit the old medina, Fez el Bali, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. The spiritual capital of Morocco is followed by Jerusalem, Athens and Dublin in this ranking. Fez also ranked seventh in the top 25 trending cities in the world for 2023.
