Morocco Ranks Among Top 5 African Countries for Affordable Mobile Data Prices

Morocco is in the top 5 of the cheapest African countries for mobile data. This is the result of the ranking of a specialized website.
The website Cable.co.uk, which conducted a study on the average cost of 1 GB of mobile data in 233 countries, has published its ranking. In Africa, Libya (40th global rank) and Ghana (41st global rank) top the top 5 with an average cost of $0.61 each for 1 GB of data. The other countries in the ranking are Somalia ($0.63), Morocco ($0.69) and Nigeria ($0.61).
Globally, it is Israel that has the cheapest average cost of 1 GB in the world, estimated at $0.04, or 15 times cheaper than the cheapest plans in Africa. The most expensive average costs of 1 GB are also found in Africa. With an average cost estimated at $41.06, Saint Helena tops the top 5, followed by São Tomé and Príncipe ($29.49) and Botswana ($15.55). Togo ($12.94) and the Seychelles - $12.66 - close the podium.
