Ajax Amsterdam Eyes Reunion with Former Star Hakim Ziyech Amid Saudi Interest

While he is attracting the interest of several clubs in Saudi Arabia, Hakim Ziyech, the Moroccan midfielder of Galatasaray, would also be in the sights of his former club, Ajax Amsterdam.
Arrived last August at Galatasaray on loan from Chelsea with a purchase option, Hakim Ziyech has suffered regular injuries that have kept him off the field for a long period. The midfielder has failed to establish himself in the Turkish club, which does not intend to activate the purchase option and part with the player with the magical left foot.
In addition to the Saudi Arabian clubs that have already expressed their interest in the Moroccan international, Ajax Amsterdam, the club where Ziyech made his debut, would also be ready to secure his services. The Atlas Lion contributed to the rise of the Dutch club between 2016 and 2020. He was one of the architects of Ajax’s progress, which reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The Moroccan does not rule out the option of a return to Ajax. But the announced arrival of Graham Potter, his former coach at Chelsea, with whom he does not have good relations, could however change his mind. The 31-year-old striker, whose recent performances are considered satisfactory, is waiting for a response from Galatasaray, which is hesitating to exercise its purchase option.
