Agadir Tourism Surges Past 1 Million Visitors, French Tourists Lead Growth

Agadir crossed the one million tourist mark at the end of October 2019, an increase of 4.91% compared to 2018 which had recorded 962,014 visitors, according to the Regional Tourism Center (CRT) of Agadir Souss-Massa.
Domestic tourists are at the top of the list of visitors to the southern pearl with 379,508 tourists compared to 334,554 during the first ten months of 2018, an increase of 13.44%.
Then come the French tourists, who numbered 179,395 to have visited the area compared to 152,861 at the end of October 2018, an increase of 17.36%.
British tourists (3rd position) have also been numerous to visit Agadir. This year, 105,760 arrivals were recorded compared to 108,817 during the same period of the previous year, a decrease of 2.81%. As for German tourists, they occupy the 4th position with 102,134 arrivals compared to 86,545, an increase of 18.01%.
