Agadir Tourism Surges: French Visitors Lead International Arrivals in October

The number of tourists, of all nationalities, who stayed in the various hotels in the city of ’Agadir during the month of October 2019 reached 96,716, compared to 93,918 tourists during the same month of 2018.
According to data from the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) of Agadir-Souss-Massa, Moroccan tourists are at the top of the city’s visitors (27,310), followed by French tourists with 20,363 visitors compared to 17,008 tourists in October 2018, an increase of 19.73%.
In 3rd place are German tourists with a total of 12,821 visitors. In 4th place, British tourists with 10,521 visitors in October last year, an increase of 13.04%.
The 4-star classified hotels welcomed the largest number of tourists who visited Agadir in October, with a total of 29,782, followed by tourist clubs with 20,617 tourists. As for the 5-star luxury hotels, they received some 19,543 tourists.
Furthermore, the occupancy rate of the various classified tourist accommodation units during October 2019 was 52.78%, while the average length of stay during the same period for each tourist was estimated at 4.54 nights.
