Agadir Tourism Soars: Over 4.6 Million Hotel Stays in 2019, Domestic Travel Leads Growth

The number of overnight stays in hotel establishments, residences and tourist clubs based in Agadir, over the first ten months of 2019, stood at 4,641,882, an increase of 2.14%.
According to figures released by the Regional Tourism Council (CRT), domestic tourists from the various cities of the Kingdom are in the lead with a total of 1,090,205 overnight stays, an increase of 14.36% compared to the same period last year when this number stood at 953,271 overnight stays.
French tourists occupy the 2nd position with 1,400,964 overnight stays at the end of October 2019, compared to 910,249 overnight stays during the same period in 2018, an increase of 10.41%.
Then come in third position the German tourists with a total of 755,238 overnight stays, compared to 801,820 during the same period in 2018, a decrease of 5.81%, specifies the CRT.
Furthermore, the tourist overnight stays recorded in the classified establishments of Agadir by British tourists amounted to 647,101 during the first 10 months of 2019, compared to 559,050 at the end of October 2018.
