Agadir Surpasses 1 Million Tourists, Set for Record-Breaking Year

The one million tourist mark has just been crossed in Agadir, while the tourist season does not end for another two months. This is revealed by the data just published by the Regional Tourism Council.
It will probably be a record year for the seaside resort. In 2018, 962,014 tourists were recorded, according to the Agadir-Souss-Massa Regional Tourism Council, which reports a strong increase in the number of arrivals between January and October.
During this period, overnight stays have shown an increase of around 2.14%, or 4.6 million overnight stays compared to 4.5 million in 2018.
This evolution observed during the tourist season that is coming to an end is due to the increase in the flows of nationals, French, but also British and Dutch, according to the same source.
