Agadir Sees Surge in COVID-19 Cases, Health Officials Strategize Response

The Souss-Massa region has recorded a significant number of cases of contamination in recent days. And it is on the strategies to be adopted to reverse the situation that the weekly meeting of the monitoring commission at the level of the Agadir prefecture has focused.
First, the commission assessed the epidemiological situation in the region, with cases of contamination that have seen a sharp rise. From 61 cases during the week of August 10 to 16, the number of confirmed cases increased to 151 last week.
According to the MAP, the infected people are asymptomatic and are following their treatment at home in accordance with the protocol in force for a few weeks. The commission took advantage of this weekly meeting to once again call on the citizens of the region to strictly respect the preventive measures.
Over the past 24 hours, Morocco has recorded around 1,537 new coronavirus infection cases and 1,303 recoveries, according to figures published Sunday by the Ministry of Health.
