Actor Saïd Taghmaoui Reveals Charity Scam: Orphan Aid Funds Misused in Morocco

Moroccan artist Saïd Taghmaoui has confided on social networks that he has been the victim of a scam by an association helping orphans.
In a video shared on social networks, Taghmaoui confided how he was scammed by an association caring for orphans in the city of Essaouira. The Moroccan star claimed to have disengaged from the association, accusing it of having diverted 85,000 dirhams intended for the orphans, funds received in the form of donations from benefactors.
The association made expenditures deemed fanciful by Taghmaoui. The list of these expenses indicates the purchase of a faucet for 5,000 dirhams, washing machines for 270,000 dirhams and clothes dryers for 90,000 dirhams. The Moroccan artist denounces these purchases which he considers a waste of funds intended for the orphans.
The association has not reacted to the serious accusations made against it by Taghmaoui, who is from the Essaouira region and who has managed to obtain donations for the association.
